OLYMPICS
The Olympic Games in Paris have been a long time coming. I still vividly remember Paris losing its bid for the 2012 Games to London back in 2005, and feeling disheartened, as I had longed to experience such a monumental event in my hometown. More than 12 years later, Paris 2024 is finally here. After meticulous planning and navigating the ticketing chaos as best as I could, I was thrilled to learn that I could bring my camera, along with a (modest) telephoto lens. Capturing the energy radiating from the athletes in these incredible competitions became the central theme of my Olympic journey. This journey took me from beach volleyball at the stunning Eiffel Tower stadium to fencing at the Grand Palais, the majestic athletics at Stade de France, and the pinnacle of it all: a dream - yet bittersweet - football final between France and Spain at the stadium of my club, Paris Saint-Germain.
